1.  What if my child has been diagnosed with COVID-19?
  • Send a copy of your child's test results to the school nurse.
  • Isolate in the home for 10 days from symptom onset or positive test result.
  • Monitor your child's symptoms and call their doctor if they do not seem to be improving.
  • Your school nurse will call or email you to confirm your child's return to school date.
  • Do not send your child or siblings back to school without first communicating with the school nurse.
2. What if my child is considered a close contact?

Here are your next steps:
  • We recommend PCR testing 3-5 days after your child's last known exposure to the positive individual.
  • Quarantine in your home for 14 days from last known exposure to the positive individual.
  • Send the test result to your school nurse.
  • Your child's school nurse will call or email you to confirm when your child can return to school.
  • Do not send your child or siblings back to school without first communicating with the school nurse.
