Did you know that 1 in 3 homeless people in the United States are under the age of 18? This equates to over 1.5 million teens that are homeless in America. When teens in homeless shelters were asked what one thing would help them lead a more normal life, the overwhelming response was a pair of blue jeans. Hard to believe when you think about your closet full of jeans at home.
In an effort to help, during the months of December through January, the students of SADD, in collaboration with Teens for Jeans.org will be collecting your donation of pairs of blue jeans. The only request is that the jeans be “gently worn” and in reasonably good condition. Think of the difference you could make in one teens life. Get involved. Bring your donated pair of jeans to the high school drop off point by the cafeteria during the months of December through January and change someone’s life for the better.
