Parent/Guardian Workshop on Mindfulness Strategies -- Tuesday November 29, 2016 Miller Multi-Purpose Room

posted Nov 17, 2016, 9:09 AM by Sara Ahern
We are pleased to invite parents/guardians to a Parent/Guardian Education Evening on the topic of Mindfulness. Secular mindfulness strategies are increasingly being used in education and other fields to support positive well-being by focusing on the present moment and acknowledging one's thoughts and feelings in a non-judgmental way. Research studies support that Mindfulness has positive impacts on the brain, relationships, and physical and mental health.

Educators in Holliston are beginning to learn how to use some of these techniques and learn about the benefits in the classroom. We would like to extend this learning to interested parents/guardians.

Please come to a Parent/Guardian Education Evening on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 7:00-8:00 PM in the Miller Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room if you are interested. The presentation is tailored toward parents/guardians of elementary students, however middle school and high school parents/guardians are certainly welcome as well.  Please see the attached flier for details.
