In this "Doodle Drawing", students were challenged to create an overall sense of UNITY by organizing elements of art such as color, shape, line, and texture with principles like balance and movement. James began the piece with a simple non‐representational line drawing. The line continued to grow and morph across the paper until it reached all sides. He added watercolor and acrylic paint to successfully complete his composition. Reflecting on his work James is considering adding more pattern in the future in order to enhance the overall effect of UNITY.
