I painted this tiger in Mr. Lack's class, using watercolor paints. I did this piece in about four days, in between other projects. I was inspired by other watercolor paintings I have made in the past as well as other artist's water color techniques. I chose a Tiger because I love to paint animals, and I figured that a Tiger would be a good subject. I first sketched out a light, very minimally detailed outline. I then started to paint all of the black fur. After that I created the mouth and eyes. The Tiger was originally supposed to have orange fur along with the black, but I decided not to do that because I liked the look of the black and white fur. I really enjoyed painting this Tiger, and I hope to continue this into a series of different animals.
